This particular vehicle was initially registered in 1965, approximately the middle of the production period before the 230SL went on to be replaced by the 230SL.
CONDITION:
This 230SL is very well presented cosmetically because of a recent exterior re-finish in Anthracite Metallic (172). This was carried out to the highest of standards and our Detailing team can confirm that the paintwork has been carried out correctly.
Inside the car has been completely updated with new leather upholstery, carpets and dash topper. This was carried out by the UK’s specialist, D-Class who are renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship.
MECHANICALS:
Since arriving at SLSHOP, we have carried extensive works to bring the vehicle up to our standards mechanically. We believe strongly that these vehicles should fill new owners with confidence to use their SL in any season and on any day of the week, which is why we have carried out such an extensive amount of work. Some of this work is detailed below:
• Replace front subframe bushes
• Comprehensive gearbox overhaul including new sump pan and gasket, new gearbox modulator and more
• Replacement starter motor
• Engine Setup - emissions and injectors for reliable hot & cold starting
• Correctly refit rear light gaskets
• Remove and correctly refit all propshaft bolts
The list of works carried out to bring this car up to usable and enjoyable standard equates to over £10, 000 in parts and labour.
