SUMMARY
Originally supplied by Mercedes-Benz of Oxford, and sold by me twice since 2017, this is one of the highest specification W203 Estates I've come across. It was bought by a titled gentleman (OBE) in March 2003, who was also the owner of a computer/ IT company. The car was subsequently passed to his son 2006, who kept it right up to 2015. In their tenure the car was maintained, with little regard to expense, and unlike the majority of Mercedes Estate cars, this car has been used sympathetically (NOT as a van!), so the interior remains unmarked and a very nice place to be.
Back in 2017 I'd originally bought this car for myself, but on collecting it, it quickly became clear that it was far too good for the purpose I originally intended. I rectified any issues that needed attention, then a few weeks later I bought an W163 ML instead, which was far better suited to my needs (taking wheels to the refurbishers, collecting parts etc, etc).
This time around, I've been through the car with a fine tooth comb and now feel that car is probably the most sorted its ever been, and even if I do say so myself, I think I've done a rather good job, as it drives and looks fantastic! This car is in superb condition; there's not one blister anywhere, and the underside is also in good order too.
In addition to the low mileage, and it's excellent condition, it's the specification of this car that really sets it apart from the rest; it must have cost a small fortune when new; the specification list runs into a few pages!. Its also a real pleasure to drive too; the five cylinder OM612 Turbo Diesel has a very impressive delivery of low down torque, and makes this is a very quick car, yet still returns excellent fuel economy. You can also see from the pictures of the engine bay, that the engine doesn't suffer from the dreaded "black death" syndrome (solidified atomised diesel), that can affect these engines and is a result of failing injector seals.
So if you're looking for an exceptional, well maintained W203, with a superb level of specification, that hasn't been used as a van, this is it. Will it be a classic? I'm not sure, probably not, but as a practical, safe, fast and economical vehicle, it's got many years of use still left in it. It will do the same as a car costing many times the price, without haemorrhaging its value on a daily basis, but equally won't look out of place in the Golf Club, outside MacDonald's or at the Supermarket

THE MTSV DIFFERENCE
Unlike some, I don’t just simply go out, buy any old car, give it a good clean, then advertise it for more than the purchase price, disregarding any issues the car may have in the hope the new buyer won’t notice…I just couldn’t do that.
