Description
This Vanden Plas had just 1 owner from new, when it was passed to its second owner in 1998. This gentleman kept the car until he passed away a few years ago. It was always garaged in his ownership. The mileage displayed is 51431 and we believe this to be correct. There is a large history file with the car with old mots certificates, bills for repairs that have been carried out etc.
We have recently recommissioned it, fitting new battery. It is running and driving beautifully. The engine maintains excellent oil pressure and temperature sits mid way. We submitted it for an mot, which it duly passed without any advisories, so it is tested until March 2024.
The underside appears sound in the usual problem areas. It has its original sills still present. The bodywork finished in peat over stone although presented well, does have various flaws. There is a few areas of surface rust, bumpers will need attention. We can email additional pictures on request. The interior again needs work, the wood veneer needs attention, the passenger front seat is torn and the rest generally need cleaning etc
This car is very much a run and improve. Mechanically it is excellent and starts every time. It’s a pleasure to drive, so it’s really up to the next owner. Do you just enjoy it like it is or start improving it. Being a genuine low mileage and ownership car, it probably warrants a chance.
The factory workshop manual is with the car, together with jack and wheel brace in the original tool bag. As previously mentioned a large history file with numerous bills etc
Delivery can be arranged anywhere in the uk after cleared funds and we can accept debit card payments or bank transfers
We have tried to set the price at what we think is reasonable considering the improvements that will be required. Very good examples are up towards £20k now, so there is plenty of movement in this one. The asking price is firm.
