Introduced in 1954, this particular 300SL Coupe was the first Gullwing produced in 1955 on the 24th of January. It was delivered to its new owner in the USA before returning to Europe in the 1990’s.
The exterior is painted in its original White (50G) and the interior is now trimmed in Red Leather (1079). All mechanical and body numbers are matching apart from the gearbox and steering.
In 2019, this Gullwing was subject to a full assessment, service and maintenance work at Kienle Automobiltechnik at a cost of €42, 000. This was in advance of the car being delivered to its next owner in Ireland.
This W198 is ready to use in every sense of the word.
