Y-reg 2001 SAAB 9-3 LPT SE Coupe 5-speed manual (9400). Just 2 mature enthusiast owners from new, first owner for 12 years and my car (professional driver) for just over 10 years.
A truly exceptional example of the last 3-door car that SAAB produced, finished in gleaming solid black. Genuine 41k miles with impeccably documented service history and receipts from new, including 11 main dealer annual services in the first 20k miles, and a total of 15 fully-synthetic oil and filter changes throughout its 41k miles life. Brake fluid replaced twice, engine coolant last replaced in November 2019. Genuine SAAB boot liner, locking wheel bolts, and SAAB overmats all fitted from new.
MOT to 5th April 2024, PASSED EVERY MOT FIRST TIME and only ever had 2 minor advisories, both exhaust system related. Underside is totally original, never welded or repaired.
Comes with some desirable upgrades including early version Aero leather interior with electrically-operated front seats (not heated), driver's seat has memory, immaculate SAAB upgrade alloys (absolutely no kerb rash) fitted with full set of matching Bridgestone Turanza T005 tyres all round (A-rated wet braking) that have covered less than 3000 miles, full size brand new spare wheel in same design (plus original spacesaver), re-styled front grille, and SAAB Aero steering wheel. For the purists: all of the original upgraded items are included meaning that this 9-3 could be quickly and easily reverted to original showroom spec.
This SAAB has never done bumper-to-bumper commutes, nor regular school runs and has never needed for anything, it must be viewed and driven to be fully appreciated.
Comes with 2 keys, original SAAB leather wallet containing Owner's Manuals and Service Booklet, sales brochures, Haynes workshop manual, and official SAAB 3:2 Electrical wiring diagram manual which includes the Trionic T7 engine management system supplement. Still has original dealer number plates, rear window sticker and tax disc holder (D. Salmon Cars of Colchester).
Coupes are getting a bit thin on the ground now and don't come up for sale too often especially in this exceptional condition, with super-low mileage and 22 years of fully documented provenance. They're surely destined to become true classics in their own right, especially in black, the SAAB turbo colour of choice.
