For sale is my PORSCHE 944 Coupe, registered 7. 11. 1989, with the larger 2. 7 litre engine, and as such a relatively rare variation of the 944. It is a UK supplied car, finished in Zermatt silver metallic, with Marine Blue electric sports trim, and blue carpets.
It really is a very attractive combination.
To finish it off it is fitted with genuine Porsche Cup alloy wheels.
According to the option code sticker in the boot the car was factory fitted with M288 Headlight Washers; M593 Bosch ABS; M605 Headlight Aim Control; M650 Removeable Sunroof; M526 Cloth Door Panels.
It is a very correct car, complete with the original space saver, tools and un touched option code sticker and decal set.
The car has the original quality Porsche leather book pack, service book and various sundry invoices.
Both keys are present with original black leather Porsche fobs.
The car is coming up to 99000 miles, and clearly has been well cared for over the years as it remains in superb and corrosion free condition.
It was last serviced in June last year. Other maintenance highlights include a new stainless steel exhaust system in 2017 (Mild Sports note), at 95357 miles, and also in 2017 the gearbox was overhauled by renowned Porsche specialists, Strasse of Leeds, who also renewed the cambelt and balance belt at the same time. Mileage then was 96121.
The car has had 5 former keepers:
1st from new to 1994
2nd from 1994 to 1996
3rd from 1996 to 1999
4th from 1999 to 2012 (Mileage then was 93204)
5th from 2013 to 2022(Mileage then 98358) a Porsche Owner's Club member.
The interior also remains in superb condition, with the fabric to the seats appearing hardly worn for example.
The only debit is some wear to the leather of the gear knob.
The car drives perfectly and pulls strongly, and when I was considering this model I saw no reason to pay an extra 10K for the 'Turbo', as the 2. 7 engine gives more then enough performance to satisfy.
The oil pressure remains just below 5 bar, and the ammeter reads 13. 5 to 13. 75 amps.
So a superb example in a most attractive finish that wants for nothing apart from a decent bit of road!
I bought the car last year from a well known Classic Car dealer and paid £14, 000 which I was happy to do. I am equally happy now to take a reduction on that figure having enjoyed the experience of ownership.
The car was photographed outside my home in bright sunshine. The V5 is in my name.
Full Porsche leather book pack present, with service book and all other documentation, together with a separate history file, old MOT certificates, service invoices etc.
3rd July 2023: New MOT obtained today - 1 advisory for a failed number plate light bulb - for a 34 year old car I can live with that!
The garage owner commented: 'This is a very nice Porsche'.
