Beschreibung
Acquired from a long term customer of Percival Motor Co, we offer this 1956 M201 Hotchkiss Jeep. Our friend has owned a number of Hotchkiss Jeeps and knows them well, owning this one twice. It is only for sale because of lack of time to enjoy it.
It is a very, very early serial number (996), and is one of the very first Hotchkiss 6 volt jeeps built. It is in exceptional, rust free condition and has various early features including a push button start. These early Hotchkiss models are very similar to the war time MB Jeeps.
It was discovered in a chateau in France by by the UK's leading, most knowledgeable classic Jeep guru about 10 years ago, and was then exhaustively recommissioned and thoroughly serviced prior to sale.
A well-known classic Land Rover dealer (based in a Kensington mews) purchased the Jeep for his personal use before our customer persuaded his pal the Land Rover dealer, to sell him the Jeep and he kept it for a few years before selling due to lack of space. Jeep specialists Jeffreys carried out further fettling before it passed to a new owner.
Being a 1956 example there's a bunch of details that Hotchkiss fans find rare and impressive.
This fabulous example is a cut above average old Jeeps with it's gorgeous coachwork and the nature of the driving experience.
None of them are fast but, that said, it has an impressive turn of pace and with the screen down 30mph feels like you're flying !
This is a Jeep to use and enjoy.
