an exeptional original 1942 ford gpw with matching and more importantly original chassis and glovebox tags, purchased from a farm as a barn stored non runner in toronoto Canada 2 years ago , It hadnt been used for over 40 years, once in the Uk it was registerred with an age related numberplate , I have spent hundreds of hrs very carefuly bringing this one back to a usable driving jeep, the unrestored patina on this jeep is axceptional , I have gone to huge trouble to keep everything original apart from the consumables like brakes, battery exhaust hoses and some fresh wiring , I sourced used but good period tyres, an old sun bleached canvass top and seat swabs, the hip pads are original horse hair, f marks and stamps are in all the correct places , i have replaced the entire braking system apart from its original brake shoes that are in great condition and will stop the jeep more eficiantly than reproductions , fitted new screen glass from JMP and a new rubber inner screen frame surround but the bulkhead rubber is original , the jeep is still on 6 volts and drives very nicely, I would consider a hotchkiss in part exchange as I know someone looking for a very good running Hotchkissthe price is a little higher than average but this jeep is jaw droppingly original with unrestored patina and something anyone would be very proud to own, to find untouched original jeeps like this is a very very rare thing nowadays and I was very fortunate to be offerred this one as a restoration project
