The fact it is over 20 years old and still in this meticulous condition, means you feel you are in something a bit special as you sadly don’t see that many other E46’s any more, in my opinion these, and the e39 5 series being the last of what I call the ‘mechanical’ era.. something snaps, and you fix it.. no needing to get it booked in to be scanned for software updates etc..
It’s also nice when owners in far newer cars look on admirably at yours, probably feeling a hint of nostalgia..
I won’t follow the crowd and whittle on about ‘future classic’ status, as this seems to be the main line in any pre-2000’s bmw for sale , but I will mention it can be insured under a classic car policy..
This is the original pre-facelift 330ci non-sport edition, with a bit of chrome instead of shadow line black, (although in my opinion looks every bit as good),
and by far my favourite for this shape, the timeless 18” staggered MV1-Alloy wheels (which are mint) all running on a suspension more suitable for our ‘moon crater’ roads, and doesn’t rattle your teeth out on every pothole, or make you take a gasp of breath when you catch sight of it at the last minute.
Don’t forget, this is a one previous owner from new car.
I would describe this Car as in great condition. It drives tight and true.
I can only assume garaged all it’s life, as there’s no rust on the arches, or round the jacking points (see photos) which is so rare for these cars.
Every advisory on the yearly mot has been addressed, This car is mechanically sound. Needs nothing, It looks it, and when driving, You feel it too… It has so much life left in it, and it's very, very nice to drive.
VERY Quick, smooth and handles very well.
It has had every suggested service according to its schedule, with a recent Inspection 2 service, and again, had the front upper and lower suspension arms replaced, drop links, new flexi brake lines, and just because it deserves it, brand new Pirelli P-Zero tyres all round( all costing around £2000, with receipts to confirm, and a fully stamped service book.
To top it all off, this beautiful car is ULEZ compliant! Made for whizzing about town, or just as comfortably taking a spirited drive on the A-roads.

Mirror fold doesn’t always work
The 2nd key is a bit knackered,
You can still lock the car properly with the key in the door. The old fashioned way! There is slight wear to the drivers seat bolster.
Has been repaired with approved colour match paint, but may in time need re-stitching. might need a little adhesive in the c-pillar cover as a corner fabric has come adrift
As previously mentioned, all mot advisories done.
New ball joints, drop links,
Arms, and slight oil mist from oil filter seal.
These were age related rubber perished, not from wear.
Also, after finding a slight crack in the plastic, , the common expansion tank has also been replaced as a preventative measure.
