Just arrived at South Norfolk Classics
1972 MGB Roadster
We purchased this incredible car about a year ago from a retired doctor who was in he’s nineties, he had owned the car for an incredible 37 years.
About 15 years ago the MGB was showing its age so the owner decided to have it fully restored starting with a complete new heritage bodyshell which has been superbly painted using 2 pack and finished in Gloss Black.
Shortly after the heritage shell was fitted he then decided to have a brand new unleaded Ivor Searle engine.
Handling was improved using gas shocks and evolution front suspension ( very expensive).
When we purchased the car last year we wanted to create something a little different but nothing that can’t be changed if it is not to your liking.
We opted for a Red everflex soft top which we think compliments the black bodywork, we replaced the original vinyl interior with custom made leather seats ( not cheap club seats ) made from top quality Black leather with Red piping.
We also replaced all the door cards and interior trim including footwell panels and arm rest.
We fitted a new honeycomb grill , new Moto Lita steering wheel and boss, new stainless steel sports exhaust, new Black powder coated wire wheels with new tyres and chrome 2 eared spinners, chrome boot rack, Union Jack wing badges, Red coach line, clip on mirrors, Red inertia reel seatbelts, full mohair tonneau.
The finished article is an outstanding rust free MGB with perfect panel gaps and paint a new engine and a complete ground up rebuild.
Having sold over 500 MGB’s this car is right up there with the very best we have ever owned.
