Supplied by Charles Follett in the Spring of 1988 as a company car to a CEO of a City of London Bank, some three years later he retained the car when he became the Chairman of the Halifax Building Society. In 1996, after 8 years of ownership the 911 was sold to H R Owen.
Interestingly there is an unnatural amount of correspondence between the owners and the original owner, clearly it would appear everyone who came into contact with the car had a soft spot for it!
In more recent years the car was purchased by a Channel Island based collector, who wanted to add to his collection a really good, genuine unmodified and correct 'Classic' 3. 2 Cabriolet Sport, after looking at several cars (which had to be a C-16 (UK supplied car) complete with G50 transmission) this car fitted the bill perfectly in both condition and specification.
This Carrera comes with a 100 page history file, original handbook pack, service book, old MOT's, tax discs, bills and the like.
Registration back onto the previous UK mainland registration number is an easy process, and is something I can do for the new owner. E795CPD will be the number plate.
The original tool kit is present, along with the air compressor and Jack.
The bodywork retains all its original panels, all the correct original stickers and decals are in their correct original place, it's never experienced any accident damage and is HPI clear.
The interior has never been re-coloured and the leather work is still supple and scuff free.
The hood is 'as new'.
The factory fitted 'fuch' alloy wheels are original, never been repolished, and have the correct slightly dull polished rim.
Maintained to the letter and then beyond, servicing done on time not on mileage, there have been 28 services.................
The MOT is until May 2024, and the car has recently been serviced with nominal mileage covered since, so it's ready to use and enjoy this summer. A lovely example of a classic 911 from the late 1980's with the correct provinence.
