Our offering is a very early 86’’ Series One Land Rover – purchased by the prior vendor in 2017 with the intention of undertaking a complete body & mechanical rebuild. This took some 5 years to complete & the result is one of the most impressive Series One land Rovers we have ever encountered. No expense was spared to create a product that Maurice Wilks would have been immensely proud of!
The complete body was stripped to a bare shell – the chassis shot-blasted – new outriggers were fitted & the entire unit was rustproofed prior to a professional re-paint. The original engine & gearbox were removed & rebuilt & a new clutch fitted – the gearbox was fitted with new bearings & the brakes were completely overhauled.
This restoration is unique & viewing is highly recommended to appreciate the quality of its workmanship. The vehicle is supplied with a V5 registration document, an original Series One Parts Manual & a copy of the 'Original' Land Rover – Series 1 -Restorers Guide.
So, if an early Land Rover is on your 'hit list' – we doubt you'll locate a better one!
