For sale my collectable Brilliant Black Audi A2 with Rare 3 seat bench seat in rear.
Designed by Luc Donckerwolke of Lamborghini Murcialargo and Bentley EXP fame the Audi A2 is fast becoming a very collectible car due to it light weight aluminium space frame, low drag, fuel efficient design. It has the drag coefficient the same as Tesla model X.
Comes with “Open Sky” roof with the usual issues for age. It works noisily to open in position 1 “comfort position” but will need some replacement plastic gears if you want the full open sky experience. It has manual close if there are any issues.
The full tinted glass roof gives a very light airy driving experience.
1. 4 turbo diesel is geared quite short for first and second gears but those gears become taller to provide an even torque band at higher speeds and a beautifully quiet highway ride or commute.
At under 1000 kilograms the car delivers 500 miles out of the 34 litre tank. You can expect 60 mpg plus if you drive for economy.
Interior and Exterior in great condition the car isn't a garage queen - it's very presentable but has a few scratches which I've tried to show in photos.
It's mechanically great and the interior is great, original and clean with no buttons missing or any fade.
What’s broken is the condenser for air con which wasn’t an issue for me with electric windows and the comfort position on the open sky roof. Replacement is about £120 plus a regas.
It needs a door check-strap for the driver's door which has been purchased and it comes along with a brand new oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, set of glow plugs and full brand new socket set and car wash products all stowed in the boot with the false floor. Has a brand new battery.
Super collectible car now and priced to reflect this.
Reason for selling is I have returned to Australia after 3 months looking after my elderly mother. I have very much mixed emotions about parting with this vehicle. It is a very reluctant sale I want car to go to a good home for what is rapidly emerging as a modern day classic
