This really is a beautiful example that has had very careful use since an exquisite restoration dating back to the 1980’s. Looking at and driving the car anyone would think it was restored only ten years ago, it is superb on the road and the Morris Bullnose Two Seater with Dickey presents beautifully throughout. The Bullnose Morris club confirm the car was built in 1924 but was off the road for many years before being found in 1972 in a very poor state.
In 1980 the car was purchased by a Frank and Del Parker, keen Morris enthusiasts and owners of a Croydon based printing firm. The 'new' owners then carried out a full bare chassis, body off restoration. A detailed photo album shows the process of rebuilding all mechanical components to include the engine, rear axle and steering system. A new gearbox and clutch were fitted, and the Morris was fully re-commissioned, the bare chassis painted and a brand new body fitted to the car. The car was then beautifully painted, re-trimmed, new weather gear fitted and brightwork renewed.
On completion the Morris was used for vintage rallies and won several prizes. It was also driven to Lands End for its 60th birthday, and taken on a rally through France, Belgium and Holland. Proud photos show the car at many events including on display on the Bullnose Morris Club stand back in the 1980's. Proving reliable, MOT's show the Morris covered around 8000 miles during the 1980's and 1990's.
All these years on the Morris still presents beautifully with a fantastic body with lovely paintwork. The interior is beautifully finished, the engine bay at show level and brightwork gleams. On the road our Bullnose is a delight, the engine is fit and strong, the gearbox smooth and the 99 year old Morris feels strong, robust, reliable and importantly fantastic fun on the road. This is a true delight offered with weather equipment to include hood and sidescreens, restoration photo album, manuals and old MOT's.
