Description
We have just taken this Triumph in as part exchange in another of our classics. First registered on 15th April 1969. This Triumph has clearly had a lot of money spent on it. the alloy wheels appear fairly new and fitted with excellent radial tyres. A full stainless exhaust system with 4 branch manifold. Various new steering joints and bushes have been fitted. The engine starts easily and it drives well. It has the optional overdrive gearbox fitted .
The chassis is excellent with no apparent rust issues. The main under body and floors again appear sound . Bodywork is free of visible rust and the all important bonnet is in good order. Panel gaps are very good for a spitfire. The paint finish although more than presentable is not perfect with some orange peel and the boot lid is a bit flat. The hood is in good order including the frame.
The interior is generally good however the dash under trays are tatty and the edges of some of the carpets are worn. This is basically a very sound car that you could just enjoy as it is or carry on improving it. We cannot see anything major that needs attention.
