EXTERIOR
With its deep sills, wide arches and thundering V8, the C5 RS6 has huge road presence despite its otherwise Q-car aesthetic. Seemingly defying both its years and mileage the pearlescent Mauritius Blue paintwork remains in excellent condition all round with very few marks or defects to report. The body is accented nicely with subtle piano black trim around the windows and grilles and is contrasted further with brushed aluminum mirror casings. All the lights are nice and clear with no signs of any moisture ingress, and looking along both sides the panels are straight and true. A particularly well presented example in a tastefully understated colour combo, looking like it’s driven only half the mileage.
INTERIOR
The excellent mileage-defying condition continues inside… The heated and electric Recaro front seats are in remarkable shape and both hint at only very light use, even in commonly worn areas such as the driver’s outer bolsters which in this case are superb. The car has clearly been cherished all its life, as is further evidenced by the unmarked switchgear, steering wheel, and centre console. The glossy carbon fibre inlays are a perfect accompaniment to the piped Valcona leather, and again all are unmarked. The carpets are also spotless and are still protected by original RS6 overmats. A quick look inside the very clean boot suggests no bulky items have every been loaded.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
At its heart, a 4. 2-litre V8 biturbo delivering an impressive 450ps with an addictive soundtrack to match. As to be expected the engine bay looks superb and, dripping with carbon fibre, there’s no doubting the RS6’s supercar-like performance. Reading through the accompanying stack of invoices we’re pleased to report that the car has been meticulously maintained since new. The original service booklet is stamped 18 times and only by Audi or Audi specialists. The last service was only recently carried out in April 2023 at 83, 578 miles, and last cambelt change was in 2021.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The original 19-inch wheels are all in perfect unmarked condition. They are wrapped in premium Goodyear Eagle F1 rubber with at least 5mm of tread left at each corner. Brake-wise, the pads and discs were replaced all round during the last service in April this year and so everything remains in fine operational condition.
HISTORY FILE
First registered in June 2004 this attractive RS6 saloon has driven only 83k miles in the hands of 6 careful owners (current since 2009). The History File comprises the original Audi document wallet with all handbooks, a thick raft of maintenance invoices, the original service booklet with 18 main dealer/ specialist stamps (detailed below), tracker documentation, the spare key, and the V5C showing 5 former keepers.
