The 1987 Yamaha RD350 is equipped with a two-stroke, air-cooled parallel-twin engine. The displacement is about 347 cc, which is powerful performance for engines of that era. The engine produces about 50 hp of power, making the RD350 a pretty fast engine. The power and response of the two-stroke engine are impressive.
The motorbike has a tubular steel frame and a conventional telescopic front fork. The rear suspension consists of a spring-damper configuration. The RD350 is equipped with disc brakes at the front and rear, which helps in providing adequate braking power for the performance of the motorbike.
