Description
It's time to sell my beloved Renault Clio Trophy - 457/ 500
I've owned it since 2015, and have covered just 6, 700 miles in the last 8 years.
It's always been garaged or stored in winter, only being used in summer for a few months at a time.
It's never wanted for anything in my ownership, and I've slowly been giving it some love by fixing the 'missing' bits and replacing parts that others hadn't which has brought it up to the standard you see today.
With 91k on the clock it sits between the regular super high mileage examples you see coming up for sale, and the true garage queens that have 40k or less on them. It's a usable example and as long as you don't hammer it with miles it will appreciate nicely.
It's definitely one of the better ones that are left.
It has a K&N panel air filter, retrimmed alcantara steering wheel with matching interior dash trims and a K-Tec centre/ rear exhaust. Front lip is also matt carbon fibre from K-Tec. Original silver dash trims are present, but are a bit scuffed in places hence having a set trimmed in alcantara to match the wheel. Everything else is standard as it left the factory.
As you're probably already aware the steering wheels 'melted' over time, the front lips were often ripped off and the double back box rear exhausts rotted, so all the 'replacements' are sympathic and quite common, run of the mill changes most 172/ 182 owners make.
Two keys are present along with two 'Trophy' numbered keyrings.
Genuine RenaultSport matts.
The original CD-Rom brochure.
Two cans of original Renault puncture repair tyre seal.
Two brand new 'Trophy' Sachs rear dampers that I purchased a good few years ago when Renault made a final run of them (£232 for the pair).
Yes it has stone chips, it's an 18 year old car that has covered 91k. There's no rust on the bodywork, underbody has always been treated with rust prevention treatments including the rear beam, chassis mounting points etc. Sills are also in great condition.
Please do come and view the car, you'll see for yourself what fantastic condition it's in and I can take you out for a test drive.
Here's a full video walkaround of the Trophy - - details above have paperwork going back to 2007, and every receipt from my ownership, right down to bolts and washers.
It has a full service history, with either an intermediate, full or simple oil change being carried out during my ownership.
There isn't a dent on the car, the alloys are in perfect condition, tyres are good with lots of tread, discs & pads are barely worn, the belts are done, dampers rebuilt and it's just had one last oil change before it goes to it's new home.
