Description
a 1962 gold flash in very good condition . I have owned the bike since 2015 it had been cosmetically restored but a few hundred miles showed the engine to be badly worn . The engine g/ box mag and dyno was sent to SRM where for a bill off over £7000 everything was reconditioned or renewed including main bearing conversion new oil pump and billet rods re bore valves ect . The engine is now better than new and should have another 60 years in it and has done about 4000 miles since the rebuild . A TLS front brake has been fitted but the original can come with the bike and fits easily . Eddie dow damper rods and progressive springs transform the front end and new hagon shocks are fitted at the rear . Everything works as it should although the speedo reads 20mph low . Bike is used once a month or so and is totally reliable oil tight , starts easy and has had the oil changed every year. A genuine ride away bike with a rare reg no . Early BSAs did not have matching numbers but the bike has the correct engine and possibly the original . The original instruction manual a haynes manual a tatty parts book and a dating certificate come with the bike . Bike is not show condition but looks really good and runs and rides nicely . This is a rebuilt bike with no expense spared on the engine not tarted up or rebuilt with old bits , receipts are available . The bike has been covered in wd 40 and put away for the next few months . If you want a very well sorted bike to ride as well as polish i doubt there is any better at this price
