Here for sale is my 1983 Z650 f3. The bike as can be seen in the pictures, is in very very good ORIGINAL condition. It has never been restored, and has the following original parts. Exhaust, Seat, Mirrors, Indicators, Rear Mudguard never been cut down. Original rear reflector. Tool kit, never used. Owners manual under the seat in its original pocket. Original chain guard etc. It passed its mot with flying colours back in July 2023, and had no advisories. This will be its last legally required mot, as it is now 40 years old, and as of the 1st of April 2024. is now registered as an HISTORIC VEHICLE . It still has a current mot, but that will expire in July of this year. However if you now look up the registration on the DVLA website it is confirming that the bike is currently taxed until April 2025, as i have now changed its taxation class from PLG to Historic. Since owning it, i have removed the cylinder head, and barrels. Pistons were lightly vapour blast cleaned, with more emphasis on the ring grooves. New rings fitted, and barrels honed. The cylinder head again spotlessly cleaned, all valve seats recut, and all valves were refaced, and then lapped back in, and refitted with new valve stem seals. Head was then repainted black. Once reassembled, i did all the valve clearances to the correct figures and retimed the cams. The cam cover was then vapour blasted and repainted. The carbs have been removed, cleaned thoroughly, and once refitted, balanced and the idle mixtures reset. The only reason that the above work was carried out was because the previous owner, by his own admission, didn't have too much mechanical knowledge, and consequently the valves had closed up over his long term ownership. My occupation is a rally, hill climb, sprint and historic engine builder, so i wanted the engine to be in perfect running order, which it now is. The bike in my opinion, for a 40 year old, unrestored vehicle, is very very clean. This bike is NOT concourse, nor is it a concourse price. It is a perfectly useable classic, that has never been restored. I rode it for 25 miles a few days ago when we had a dry day????, as bikes that are stood up for ever and a day, fair far worse than ones that are ridden occasionally. It has the odd blemish here and there, which in my opinion unless its kept in a heated room, is to be expected of a 40 year old classic. By far and away what makes this particular bike a bit special, is the fact that, in my opinion it is as unchanged as it was when it left the dealership in 1983?? The price, again in my opinion, is very fair for a bike in this very tidy unrestored condition. I am happy to take an offer that is close to the asking price, and will respond promptly to each and every one. If you wish to speak in person about this bike i am happy to any questions you may have on . My name is Pete

In my opinion If you are looking for an appreciating classic, that can be ridden every day, if you wish, and is as original as when it left the dealer then i dont believe you'll go far wrong with this one
