Here is my 1990 ?G? Peugeot 205 GTI I. 6.
This car has been the subject of a restoration over the last few years with thousands of pounds spent. The result is a car that can be driven away with nothing else needed to be done and what must be one of the best examples of this legendary hot hatch around.
Pre-catalytic-converter model with sunroof and electric front windows, no power steering, no air conditioning.
HPI clear with no history of being crashed, stolen or written off and it has never had a number plate change.
Almost all original specification except for a couple of modifications as follows:
1. 9 GTI leather & cloth interior and 15? 1. 9 GTI wheels, both of which I always preferred over the original 1. 6 items. Also the car sits low and I believe the springs are shorter than standard. This was done before I bought the car and as I liked the look and feel of it like this I left it as it is. Obviously the shocks and/ or springs could be changed back if desired.
Here is a list of work done, there is probably more but I can?t remember everything exactly.
Full re-spray
Major engine service including belts, spark plugs, oil, filters etc
Engine and cooling system emptied with many new hoses fitted, flushed and filled with new G7 coolant.
The engine was not re-built recently because it didn?t need doing. Due to the car?s age it is possible and probably likely that it has been re-built at some time in the past but I have no way of knowing. The engine number matches the V5 so I believe the engine is original to the car.

New Brake Discs and Callipers
Many new Brake Pipes
Lots of new hoses/ clamps/ jubilee clips
Genuine 15? (GTI 1. 9) Wheels x 4 refurbished and re-painted with 4 x nearly new Michelin Pilot Sport 3 Tyres (no cheap Chinese rubbish)
Additional set of 14? (GTI 1. 6) Wheels x 5 refurbished and re-painted (1 with a new tyre, 4 x without tyres)
Professional 4-wheel alignment and tracking
£1, 000 interior Re-trim, the seats now look fantastic
New Richbrook 205 GTI carpet mats in grey, front and rear
All 4 x audio speakers replaced front and rear with new like for like JVC units
Original Clarion 205 GTI Radio Cassette unit fitted and all working
New radiator thermostat
New front and Rear Screen-wash hoses
New front and Rear Screen-wash electric pumps
New rear window wiper motor.
Front Electric windows both working fine
New door locks x 2 (same key)
New boot lid lock
Original and rare wheel Jack with wrench fitted under bonnet
Original rear parcel shelf all intact, uncut and undamaged (also rare to find)
Both doors dismantled with locking mechanisms, handles, and electric window motors and switches cleaned, lubricated etc
The mileage is indicated at 126, 000 however this is un-verified.
I have the owners wallet and handbooks but no service book.
Two sets of ignition and door keys, one key for the fuel cap.
Please note the fire extinguisher in the passenger footwell has now been removed.
Private sale, I have the V5 and the car is registered in my name at my address.
The last MOT was passed with no advisories in November 2021. I can get the car MOT?d again once I have a buyer.

Price £10. 950. Very close offers considered. I have seen plenty of these for sale for much more and there are some advertised for more than double this price, and I dare say they are hardly any better if any than this one.
