R1 Highlights: An Exemplary Blend of Performance and Aesthetics
A prime opportunity to acquire a meticulously maintained iteration of the highly coveted YZF-R1 4XV. The bike is visually captivating, thanks in no small part to its iconic colour palette. Initially gracing the roads in October of 2009, the bike's history suggests a pattern of consistent and thoughtful care. The V5 logbook is in possession and in my name, there is some previous history, and a rare unopened “sealed” owners manual. 2 keys. Full recorded history, no finance outstanding, no mileage discrepancies, not imported, not recovered or stolen, not recorded as write-off. The bike has enjoyed dry storage, thereby preserving its exceptional overall condition. It has been used so does display the usual marks for a bike of this age.
Its bodywork is above average for the age, having recently had a complete strip down and deep clean. While the paintwork exhibits minor imperfections in isolated areas, these are trifling in the broader context of its aesthetic appeal. OEM graphics are accurate and intact, although there are marginal marks. The original fairing bolts are included, along with some additional service items, a blue double bubble screen.
Powered by a 998cc 4-cylinder engine, featuring quad 40mm Keihin CV carburettors, the bike performs extraordinarily well. The 6-speed transmission operates smoothly, adhering to a 1-down-5-up configuration. It has just had a full oil and filter service. The engine's performance is nothing short of exhilarating, as it pulls vigorously and revs freely. Neither leaks nor smoke emanate from the engine, and the bike’s handling—especially its braking, suspension, and steering components—operate in perfect harmony.
