1976 Daimler Sovereign 4.2 Lwb Auto

1976 Daimler Sovereign 4. 2 (Jaguar XJ6) series 2 LWB.

Genuine, low mileage, full history car owned by the same family for 37 years. One of just 71 remaining on the road in the UK, a three owner classic kept in dry storage by the previous owner.

I bought this car in February 2023 and recommissioned it with new engine oil & filter, new gearbox oil & filter, new brake fluid, new air filter, fitting of rear seatbelts and refreshing the leather Connolly hide interior. Previously the car had new electronic ignition fitted along with new AED, brake pads front and rear and partial stainless-steel exhaust.

Starts on the button and runs really well. Both fuel tanks work and switch over, all gauges work and oil pressure is 40psi on idle with 60 driving on the road. Recent run to a Jaguar day at the British motor museum returned 23mpg at a steady 65mph.

Complete with factory Heritage certificate, original handbook and passport to service from the selling dealer, great MOT history, tax and ULEZ exempt.
