1965 Oldsmobile Jetstar 88 · Convertible · Driven 11, 750 miles
According to DVLA the only Jetstar Convertible in the country. The car was totally restored in 1999 (and featured in Classic American magazine) and has done less than 12, 000 miles since. The car is well known locally, having won prizes at local meets (including Luton Festival of Motoring).
Beautiful colour scheme - body really straight.. some small rust spots on chrome.
Electric top works fine.
Radio doesn't work - previously owner swapped out for a more modern unit, I replaced that with the original but haven't worried about getting it wired up (I like listening to the engine!)
The clock works fine - maybe loses five minutes in 24 hours).
The 330ci purrs. Serviced and MOTd in February. The two speed Powerglide changes smoothly. She will comfortably do longer journeys (I've done a 200 mile round trip without her missing a beat). No oil leaks anywhere.
Interior is spotless.
Rear (plastic screen) is perfectly clear but the zip holding it needs a little stitching.
Top up or down she's a great cruiser and whilst not concours she isn't out of place at any show.
She also earns her keep on a well known Book a Classic website, especially during the Prom season - but has also been used for weddings and music videos.
Spare wheel and tyre, jack and tools
And I had Isofix points fitted behind the rear seat so the little one can come to the shows as well!
Private plate OLZ 881 included
Custom cover included

Call the details belowThis car is unique in the UK - you will never see another at any show. A previous owner spent way more than the car will ever be worth having her restored, the story was covered in Classic American, and for a 23 year old restoration she still looks great. Has hardly covered 500 miles a year since then (I have put on 2, 500 miles in the last two years).
The colour scheme is perfect for a summer cruise - Ocean Mist is the official colour and her two tone interior colours match well.
This is not a car for shy people - I've had people videoing the car whilst driving down the motorway - it's a glorious reminder of a bygone era of American cars. And be prepared for the 'how many bodies can you fit in the boot?' and the very boring 'I bet you don't get many gallons to the mile'
When I bought her I looked at many cars in this price range - this Olds stood out in terms of quality and presence. She still looks as good - and probably drives better than when I bought her.
