"Veni, Vidi, Amavi" - (we came, we saw, we fell in love...)
A special story began with the creation of the Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato by Ercole Spada. The Junior Zagato was designed as a sporty, compact Gran Tourer. Because of its sleek roofline, sitting in the back may not be ideal, but this certainly adds to the Alfa's stunning looks.
What makes this car truly special is that the Junior Zagato's had nothing to do with the Alfa factory, as it was produced entirely by Zagato itself. The 1600 version is exceptionally rare, with only 402 produced in Milan over a 3-year period. The Zagato's engineering comes from the Alfa 105 series, which means it shares (almost) everything with the Spider, Bertone and Giulia.
Driving the Zagato is, in our opinion, almost unsurpassed. Its simplicity, beautiful design, sharp handling and recognizable "Alfa roar" make for tremendous driving pleasure. If you are not yet converted, you will automatically become an Alfaist because of this car. La mechanica dell'emozione. Pure sang!
Ours? A 1600(!) delivered in Italy and brought to the Netherlands in 1991. Here she has had two owners. The last owner purchased the car in 2002 and maintained it well until today. She is in unrestored condition and is in excellent condition. Will we see you soon?
