Description
1964 Triumph TR4, project car for restoration.
This TR4 suffered a front collision in the 1970s. The damaged panels were dismantled and the car has been stored ever since. This is a good candidate for a thorough body-off restoration.
The chassis is straight and largely solid, with one older repair patch. The bodywork has the rust damage typical of these cars: the sills need to be replaced, the rear fenders are bad and there is some welding to do in other typical weak spots.
The engine turns around by hand. Chassis, body and engine numbers seem to belong together. The gearbox has been replaced for a standard four-speed in the past.
A practical enthusiast can turn this into a beautiful car again. Thanks to the excellent parts supply, this Triumph can be restored to like-new condition.
The TR4 has a US title (Pennsylvania) and a European customs document (import duties paid).
Viewing is possible by appointment, at Dandy Classics in Sint Anthonis (Netherlands).
