This is one of the first 450 SL cars imported into South Africa in completely-knocked-down packs and assembled at the CDA Mercedes-Benz plant at East London. First registered on 1977-01-01.
Mechanically sound, body needs a touch up / respray. The odometer reading is 203, 448 km. I have owned this vehicle for the last 19 years and have only driven some 15, 000 km during that period. The car has been maintained by reputable local Mercedes-Benz experts in the Johannesburg area.
Hard top with stand and black soft top are in place. The vehicle is registered and roadworthy. As is, where is.
This is fine example of the classic Mercedes Benz 107 series. She is a pleasure to drive, especially with the top down in the late summer evenings.
