Outstanding cherished C4S
Hartech engine rebuild. Only circa 30000 miles since. Mechanically, spot on. Unfailingly reliable in my ownership as you might expect with this provenance.
Unmarked paintwork, no stone chips!

Seal Grey metallic, black leather. 75000 miles, Tiptronic 5 speed auto/ manual.
Full history. 14 stamps in the book, mostly by Hartech. Good miles not too many not to few. Used not abused. Really very well maintained.

Hartech engine rebuild including the uprated IMS bearing.
Replacement modified rear main seal, new oil/ air separator
New water pump and low temp running thermostat.
997 oil pressure switch.
Coolant hoses
Updated coolant cap
New battery.
Engine mounts.
Stainless exhaust
New brake pipes all round, including the troublesome one over the gearbox.
New brake pads and discs front and rear.
New a/ c condensors and a/ c pipes, re-gas
Coffin arms replaced
Pirelli N spec tyres (6 mm)
Full gearbox service, including filter.
4 wheel alignment
Upgraded Hi intensity headlights
Refurbished Turbo alloys
Recent major service, including spark plugs and brake fluid,
PAS fluid changed.
Diff oil changed front and rear
A really lovely car that drives superbly with a low mileage for a 996 of this age. Note: £10, 000+ Hartech engine rebuild, very desirable.
There are very few places in the country that fix these engines properly - even Porsche will only put a new engine back in…. that can have the same issues!
So do your homework on Hartech: they command a premium for a very good reason.
This car has had all the routine items replaced that you might expect on a car of this age and mileage. A 996 of this age will either needed to have had them done already or will definitely need them doing in the not too distant future. So maybe better consider buying one like this, that has.
