I bought this Healey BJ7 MK2a in June 2019 from Rawles Classic Cars. To my knowledge, the Healey has never been fully restored, just extremely well cared for over the years. I have a folder full of works receipts. According to the logo book, there have only been two owners, the second being myself.
The car is one of the original right hand drive MK2a's and one of only 455 made.
The Healey has had a series of upgrades before and during my ownership, they are: Alternator conversion, uprated core radiator and fan, LED light conversion, Uprated starter motor, Negative earth conversion, new mohair hood, uprated starter motor, electronic ignition, ignition cut off security switch, Motolita steering wheel, 12 volt socket.
The Healey has a British Motor Industry Heritage certificate, number 2021/ 3561.
The Healey is in excellent condition and feels like a loved car. The car has been de-bumpered, but they can be re-instated if desired as we still have the original bumpers.
I absolutely love this car, but personal circumstances are forcing a sale. I fell in love with Healey's when i was very young, I just loved the shape and flow of the classic design, personally I think they are prettier that an e-type. I have owned two MK2a's and this one is by far the better of the two. Very stable and comfortable whether driving down the lanes or on a motorway, it's a wonderful experience and that exhaust note you will never tire of.
