A beautiful example, finished in Azurite blue metallic with Saffron nappa leather. These later facelift R129 cars are still fantastic value for money and are hard to beat as an ownership proposition being relatively easy to maintain and beautifully made as you would expect with a Mercedes of this age. This car was specified with some great extras when new with 17" wheels, navy blue soft top, power folding mirrors, heated seats, nappa leather, electric steering column, automatic climate control and wind deflector. This is on top of the standard equipment such as electric seats, cruise control, stability control, ABS brakes, remote locking, power soft top and power antenna.
The car was purchased by the second to last owner in 2011 from the SL shop with 35, 000 miles on the clock. It has since been cherished and invoices show various service items purchased along with a transmission service in 2015. All old MOT certificates are present along with Mercedes documentation when it was sold as an approved used car in 2003. Upon the owners passing it was transferred to his friend earlier this year who has looked after the car in the way it was accustomed. You would be hard pushed to find a better example.
