This R129-generation Mercedes-Benz SL60 AMG is a very rare modern classic roadster, benefitting from a full engine service and suspension replacement.
Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 6. 0-litre AMG-tuned V8, officially producing 375bhp (though the true figure is believed to be around 405bhp), driving the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission.
This original UK-market example has had Eight keepers from new, and is now offered for sale.
This SL60 AMG is understood to be one of only 49 right-hand drive UK-delivered examples.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This SL60 AMG was specified in the appealing shade of Silver Metallic with a removable glass hard-top roof and a black convertible soft top, over a light grey and black leather-trimmed interior, punctuated by dark wood veneer trim inlays.
It now rides on an aftermarket set of 18-inch AMG split-rim alloy wheels, with new ps4s tyres on the rear and Dunlop front tyres.
The factory specification includes headlamp washers and wipers, an automatically dipping rear view mirror, Acceleration Slip Regulation, electric windows, automatic climate control, and electrically adjustable front heated seats with three-position memory.
This SL60 AMG is now equipped with new shocks and springs, anti roll bar, wishbones, front wheel bearings, new discs all round with pads.
The car comes with a warning triangle, a spare wheel, the owner’s manuals with a black wallet, the tool roll, two keys, and the service booklet.
CONDITION
The Silver Metallic paintwork is reported to be in generally good condition, with the odd stone chips and marks. Moving inside, the cabin is presented in great shape for its age. There is mild creasing on the seats, and a few minor blemishes and scuffs on the driver’s door card, but no major wear.
