Very, very rare Lancia Fulvia 1. 3HF RHD one of two in the UK and one of eight RHD produced. Amaranto Montebello paintwork.
I’ve owned it since September 2021.
I spent £5, 500 straightway on engine works.
It has a large document file with receipts including £24, 000 having it rebuilt to FIA HSCC spec around 2000.
Very detailed history of works carried out in South Africa from 1986-1997
Day & White’s carried out a complete engine rebuild in 2010.
It has the alloy boot, doors and bonnet along with plexiglass rear quarter lights and rear screen.
Last year I took it to Omicron and spent £1, 600 as it smoked a little on start up. They compression tested it and found it to be perfect but replaced a guide valve and set the carbs and timing. It has run brilliantly ever since and I consider it to be mechanically perfect.
120BHP
I’ve replaced the rally seats with replica originals from Omicron.
No expense has been spared the whole time I’ve owned it.
I bought a new plexiglass rear screen from Omicron.
The brakes have been completely overhauled during my ownership.
An electric fuel pump is fitted.
A full roll cage is fitted so there isn’t a rear seat but I’ve had the rear section carpeted in the same carpet material as the new full carpet set. I also soundproofed the entire floor.
There is a long range fuel tank. It retains many other features that come with a race prepared car.
It’s MOT'd until December 2024
It failed in 2022 due to some corrosion near the jacking points so I had that dealt with, with the corrosion cut out and fabricated metal welded into place.
It has (December 2023) had a new starter motor, plugs HT leads and an oil service.
It has very good Vredestein Snowtrac tyres fitted to the original wheels.
The odometer reads around 3. 000km but has gone round the clock. I don’t think it’s done over 100, 000 km looking at the paperwork so a new speedo may have been fitted at some point.
The body work has a few sections of minor rust. More a a result of scrapes rather than rot I believe.
The glass and bright work are good but it may benefit from some new seals here and there.
The spare tyre is present as is a Battani jack.
Everything works as it should electrically. The heater works but the heater blower is a little problematic.
A new starter motor was fitted recently.
I've just had one of the calipers rebuilt by Zeus Engineering (12th April 2024) both front pads were replaced too
