2003 Renault Vel Satis Privilege Auto

For sale this rare 2. 0T automatic Renault Vel Satis in Privilege trim and storm blue exterior.
The car has undergone a full mechanical overhaul underneath including tonnes of suspension, brake and engine works. See the full list below for what has been done, but it now drives superb and has a full year's MOT with no advisories to compliment this.

This car was owned by the same owner from 2004 until earlier this year, although as not a trader I've had to register into my name which adds an owner. It was parked up since around 2019, but now as you will see later in the advert all running gear has been renewed and checked over!

If you are here looking at this you probably know a lilttle bit about the Vel Satis, but if you don't, this was the last true executive model Renault sold in the UK market and numbers left now on the road are extremely limited. This one is in upper mid spec form with luxuries such as, Cabasse 6CD changer stereo, Xenon Headlamps, Cruise & speed limiter, heated electric front seats, climate control, onboard voice synthesiser and the list goes on!

Here are the works carried out:
-Full service, oil, air, pollen filters changed
-Coolant flushed & renewed with Renault Type D
-Aux belt tensioner replaced
-Front lower arm ball joints renewed
-New discs and pads in all 4 corners, plus calipers overhauled
-Brake calipers overhauled and bled with new fluid
-Upper and lower engine mounts replaced
-New anti roll bar bushes front and links all 4 corners
-New KYB coils and dampers on front
-New top mounts front
-New inner rods and track rod ends on front
-Laser 4 wheel alignment
-New KYB shocks on rear
-Spring replaced rear
-x4 new Nankang all season tyres
-New Bosch aerotwin wipers all round
-Climate control back light repair
-New Alternator regulator
-New Exide battery
-New Renault engine oil cap

Last thing to note is the rear parking sensors are working intermittently .


Aside from this, all the common Vel Satis niggles have already been dealt with and given all the work underneath has been done, it drives really well now and is a usable modern classic. Mileage is just over 117k but this is nothing for this engine. The cambelt and water pump were done at circa 113k.
