For sale my 1957 Ford Thunderbird in Starmist Blue and Colonial white hardtop. Interior is Dresden Blue and Starmist Blue. the car has it's original white convertible top from 1957. The interior and carpets are original to the car. Dresden Blue steering wheel and padded dash all original. She has Dial-O-Matic power seats , electric windows, power steering and brakes. Vacuum wipers fully working .
She's a 312 cu in V8 245 bhp and Fordomatic. She's riding on Thunderbird wire wheels with Firestone correct white wall tyres . She's had new rear leaf springs and shocks and a full auto trans rebuild whilst here in the UK. She drives well and handles well for a 1957 car! She's all Factory stock with no modifications. Pretty much a full history car from day one! I knew the previous stateside owner . I first saw the car in 1977 , so a long personal history here. She was purchased by him in 1968 and the car had some restoration work done with NOS Ford parts between 1969 and 1972. She had and Engine and trans rebuild then during this period. I have the history going back to July 1957 etc... the history is interesting too! She pretty much looks the same as she did in the Seventies! She's a very solid old girl and wears her miles well ! I do have her original town and country radio too! Her adjustable steering column works and is not frozen solid as with some. Please note entry and exit with all "Babybirds " takes some practice and a knack with the hardtop in place. These cars have a very exhaust note , one of the best ! Thanks for your interest. Cheers
