Having purchased this bike with a view to using it in classic trials events it is evident that due to my old age and the fact that I do not have the necessary skills it is regrettable that I now need to sell this beautiful Rob Swift prepared machine. The high asking price reflects the immaculate condition of this now becoming rare 1959 AJS 16C Competition model and the "no expense spared" restoration that was carried out by Rob Swift the AJS specialist. Since the restoration I have only covered about 40 miles and the bike still needs to be "run in" The frame and engine numbers have been verified as correct by the AJS & Matchless Owners Club and was manufactured January 1959. The bike is registered with the DVLA as an Historic Vehicle and therefore exempt of road tax.
