1945 Willy's Jeep Radio car
It has been well restored to authentic 1942 US Military specifications and with numerous period-correct features.
An icon of WWII
This Willys Jeep was known for its versatility and reliability. Featuring a 60bhp, 2. 2-litre four cylinder side valve engine, mated to a three-speed manual gearbox with two-speed transfer case, live front and rear axles with semi-eliptical leaf-spring suspension and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.
Among the accessories are a first aid kit, a fender-mounted emergency siren, a hand-operated klaxon horn, a military radio and communication set, as well as a gasoline can and rear-mounted spare. A full canvas tilt is fitted along with doors. The olive drab livery, decorated with the appropriate stars and insignias, is authentic.
This Willys is in a private collection since 2016 and very well looked after.
This is an interesting and very realistically detailed military Jeep, a great addition to any collection of military or WWII memorabilia.
Remember the 80th anniversary for D-Day is just around the corner!
