The Porsche 968 is an early 90's model manufactured from 1991 until 1995. boasting some similarities with more well known models from that era; with its exposed front head lamps and integrated front bumper which would eventually appear on the well renowned Porsche 993 two years later. The 968 was the very final evolution of the water-cooled, front-engined, rear wheel drive series that started with the 924 in 1976. Taking over the entry level position in the company lineup from the 944. Interestingly the 968 was Porsche's last new front-engined vehicle before the introduction of the Cayenne SUV in 2003, Disregarding the Panamera and Porsche SUV's alike, it could still be argued that the 968 was Porsche's very last Front Engined purpose Built 'Sports Car'.
Although they are not remembered for their performance and handling, the 968 cabriolet today makes for a very classy and useable weekend Tourer.
