1988 Porsche 911 Carrera 3. 2 Sport Cabriolet.
A late model 'classic' 911 from the final year of production. Supplied new in September 1988 by Charles Follett of St Johns Wood, London, this C-16 UK market supplied car is finished in Grand Prix White with Dark Blue (Marine) leather seats with a dark blue soft top and specified to the optional factory Sport specification.
Up until 2000, the car had only been in the hands of two (both originally company owned) owners. Then, when it went to live on the Channel Islands, it remained in the hands of a very long term enthusiast owner, who continued to have the car maintained to the same high standard. Returning to the mainland last summer, the car is waiting to be registered in the new owners name, it will be supplied with a 12 month MOT certificate, and it will retain the registration number the 911 was supplied with prior to it holidaying on the Channel Islands.
Mechanically the car is very strong, the car drives beautifully, stops as it should, and the gearbox (the G50) is a delight to use. A new clutch was fitted in the recent past and very few miles have been covered since.
The bodywork is very good. Never suffered accident damage and is all correct in the right places, where they should be. Two new front tyres have been fitted less than a hundred miles ago. Its just a nice correct example.
The electric dark blue Mohair hood/ soft top is in very good condition, and is fully operational.
The interior, with the dark blue leather sports electric seats (all fully working) is in good condition. There is some fading to the carpets, but no cracking to the dashboard or door trims. The luggage compartment, and being a very late model is fully carpeted. The tool kit, jack, spare wheel, Porsche Compressor are all present and it is just very clean and tidy, as well as the factory option Hood Cover, finished in matching dark blue.
Whilst still Jersey registered, it is an easy process to return the car to UK registration, a process I can fulfill for the new owner, and takes roughly 2-3 weeks, please note the Nova leter is in the history file, which shows all duties etc have been paid when coming back to the mainland last summer.
