Extremely Rare Paladin Showvan

A rare opportunity to own a beautiful and extremely rare C1937 Paladin Showmans caravan.

A very reluctant sale on my part but it is time for me to let go of a collection I have had for approx 14 years.
In that time I haven't seen another Paladin like her in anywhere near her condition, and have only seen one other.

For her age she is in remarkable condition has all of her original coach built wooden interior intact plus an amazing early coloured I think its bakerlite kitchen. Plus coloured Bakerlite in the interior partition panels, glass leaded cupboards, centre room partition door to give privacy for the pull out bedroom and she has a single and a double bed.
I have added a gorgeous rose pink salamander wood-burning stove and reupholstered her original cushions. She makes quite a spacious soul filled space with a fold down table that gives a wonderful place to sit and ponder!
Her body is aluminium and was I believe influenced by riveted aeroplane manufacturing techniques and she was the British early forerunner of the American airstream.

The British version called Pan loafs, mainly Paladin, Pilot and Coventry knights were often used by the travelling showman community... and I have no doubt she has a colourful unknown history I have not sadly been able to uncover.

For a 1937 vehicle she is in pretty good shape, very solid, actually the lightest on her feet of all my vans and could be towed pretty well around the farm she is retired on, but she would need work on her underbelly to get her road worthy. So we have towed her on the back of a trailer any distance just out of respect and care for her and any new owner would need her towed to her new home. I know an amazing guy who is pretty reasonable if you were interested.

She would love some tlc to make her shine and she is an absolute head turner if you take her anywhere, as well as being an incredible space inside. Her windows and seals could do with being looked at and replaced or make good with her originals, her roof is pretty good but is ready for a reseal and repaint.
Her wheels are originals and tyres replaced last year, her hitch needs a new jockey wheel attached which is pretty easy to do.
she is old school and has no electrics, original gas lamps still in situ but not working. she has a wonderful gas cooker that heats up a pie a treat.

She comes with all of her soft furnishings and extras.

She is an amazing canvas you could put your love and skill into and could be used for so many things... an extraordinary office, spare room, studio, or airbnb retreat whatever your imagination wanted.

Personally I would recommend any new owner building a shelter around her to protect her from the elements if you were going to keep her outside all year and you would get an amazing space with much less need for maintenance.
Size and weight she is around 21 feet long and internally ceiling 7ft tall, width approx 8ft internally. weight approx a ton but chat with me about her and we can clarify that in more detail.

I am looking for someone who really gets her and will love and take her to the next level.
If you are seriously interested I am be doing visits to the place she is stored in Devon now the weather has warmed up.
I live in Bristol so it has to be arranged between us.
