This car was converted to RHD and subjected to a full "nut & bolt" or "ground up" 5 year restoration between 2011 and 2016. The original engine was stripped and the block hot dipped with new sleeves and 9:1 pistons fitted. The body was completley dismantled and fitted with new floors, upper floor and sill panels. The sills were reinforced with strengthening panels. The body was mounted on a rotisserie and fully repainted in silver metallic. New strengthened subframes, picture and bonnet frames fitted. All bright work rechromed which includes the Handbrake lever, bumper bars and over riders, door handles, hood clamps, windscreen trim and wheel spinners. A new door mirror fitted. New windscreen wiper, wiper arm and a new wiper rack fitted. New heater hoses, pipes, fan and radiator fitted. All brake calipers replated and fitted with new seals and pistons and pads. New booster, master cylinders and reservoirs plus new brake discs fitted Both clutch and brake lines/ pipes replaced Rear brake bleeder extension hoses fitted. The inside of the fuel tank was cleaned, etched and sealed. All fuel lines and filter replaced plus a new electronic fuel pump fitted. New SU carburettors plus inlet and exhaust manifolds fitted. A full stainless steel exhaust system fitted. All wiring looms replaced plus an extra mechanical brake switch and relayed head light circuits fitted. Electric assisted power steering fitted. Alternator and instruments overhauled. New horns and dash board switches fitted. New head, parking, tail and reversing lights fitted. LED globes fitted to brake and reverse lights. A concealed battery isolating switch fitted. Diff assembley dismantled and rebuilt with a 3. 07 ratio. The floors have been insulated with sound deadening and new biscuit interior trim, boot carpet and black hood fitted with an anti drum pocket as per original. Floor carpet, dash top and boot carpet protectors plus a hood cover and bag are also included. Fitted 5 new 185VR15 tyres and stainless wire wheels. New polyurethane suspension bushes fitted. New front wheel stub axles fitted. All wheel bearings replaced. Adjustable torsion bar reaction plate fitted. Supplied with the car is the original chassis plate, a driver's handbook, jack and handle jack bag, hood cover and bag, tool kit, spinner knock off hammer and ring. Since the restoration the car has travelled 4, 000 miles. The owner has a file and receipts detailing all the restoration work. The combination of the 5 speed gear box plus the 3. 07 diff ratio results approximatley 1, 600/ 1, 700 rpm engine speed with the car travelling at 100 kph (60 mph) in 5th gear.

The heritage certificate shows that this OTS was originally LHD and was manufactured on 15th April 1970 and dispatched to British Leyland New York USA on 8th May 1970 new with black trim and willow green body The first owner lived in New Jersey USA and had difficulty driving a manual car and sold it within a few months to a lady in New Jersey who owned it until 2010. Some time in its life it was repainted in dark green. The current owner purchased the car and imported it into Australia in 2010 . The last lady owner has provided a written history of several pages, of her 40 odd years of ownership of the car while in New Jersey.
