The time has come for me to reluctantly part ways with my totally ORIGINAL 1982 Mk1 Golf
The car has a FULL SERVICE HISTORY (SEE PICS) including cam belt change including changing the fuel lines in March 2022. This car is one of the rare 5 door versions and also has the 1. 5 engine mated to an AUTOMATIC gearbox, perfect for driving around town and comfortably cruises along A roads and motorways with ease.
Exterior : the cars Silver bodywork is totally original and 41 year old, so has some body work scratches and a few small patches of rust eg : around the windscreen and on the front wheel arches. If I was keeping the car it would be going into a body shop to properly treated and repaired. Even got a new windscreen rubber seal to go on which comes with the car. If I am being honest the car has 2 minor dents one on the drivers’ side front wing by the head light and one on the rear passenger wheel arch by the rear light. The underside has been waxoyled from new, hence no rust underneath. The car also has a sunroof fitted at the dealer from new.
Interior : the car has standard blue/ grey cloth interior in very good condition. The blue dash is in good condition with no cracks. If you have looked at the pictures some of you may have noticed that the stereo has been updated to a more modern unit with Bluetooth and USB, which is the only modification. The original stereo comes with the car too. Everything works as it should.
Overall this is a really good unmolested original example with very low mileage (64, 000 miles) and only 3 previous owners. Also benefits from being very rare as a 5 door automatic. The Golf is registered as Historic, therefore is MOT and TAX exempt. Also is ULEZ compliant so apart from insurance and petrol you essentially have free motoring in a really cool car. Am constantly being stopped by people who want to look at the car.
I would advise you to please come and view the car before you make any offers, might take a cheaper part exchange depending on what it is.
