1974 Saab Sonett V4 Fantastic condition. NEW MOT.

Fantastic Sonett V4 in a top color. Technically well maintained, RDW prepared by the best Saab specialist in the Netherlands and just RDW inspected. The Saab has been completely repainted in the original Sonett colour "True Blue" and that is very nicely done. The floor is original and the boot floor has been renewed. Equipped with the correct black rear end and the iconic Soccerball rims.

The dashboard is original, the headliner and sports seats are newly upholstered with the correct upholstery. The interior and boot are also newly upholstered. So it is a partial restoration, as much has been renewed and improved.

Recently, a lot of maintenance is done such as new brakes including cylinders and handbrake, new battery, petrol pump with hoses, etc. The petrol tank has been internally blasted + coated, a new wiper motor has been fitted, and a full service has been carried out including valve setting with new gaskets and new ignition with hall giver. Just changed the oil in the gearbox and engine oil with new filter. The V4 has been fitted with a brand new Weber carburettor with a reliable hand choke. Everything has also been replaced and modified for the RDW inspection.

Even with my Saab experience, the Sonett was a revelation; what a tight-riding car this is. The car shares the technology of the 96, but steers much lighter and sportier. And thanks to the floor lever, you shift lightly and with short strokes. The perfectly tuned V4 starts instantly, hangs super on the throttle, and you are treated to a great sound. Empty, the Sonett weighs only 800 kg and is manageable and fast, so this really is a big surprise for the enthusiast used to only the well-known brands so far. Do put on your narrow trainers, as the pedals are close together.

The Sonett is a real Saab; a car with rock-solid character and a special appearance. Not a car for shy people, because the car is so rare that you will be looked at extensively on the road, and when refuelling you will make new friends.
