The car is in a very good and roadworthy condition but not concourse. The interior is original and still servicable and remarkably comfortable for an old car. The running board is also an original feature. I believe the car was restored in 1985 to a good specification.
The car is MOT exempt.
I have owned the car for over 10 years now and it has been occassionally used for weddings with friends and family enjoying the experience.
Since I have owned the car it has had a stainless steel exhaust fitted. The brakes have had new linings and have been completely overhauled. The steering box has been overhauled. A replacement radiator has been fitted. A new head gasket has been fiited and reinforced between the pots. The car has very recently been fitted with four brand new tyres and has had a recent service.
The bad points at this time are only advisories but the car will need replacement check straps on the rear axle. The rear nearside wheel bearing has a slight grumble. The suspension bushes are worn and the rear offside shock absorber has a minor seepage. Also the water pump has a slight leak and the bottom hose has cracking on the outside.
The body work is in reasonable condition but does have some minor marks and scratches. The offside running board has a small rubber section missing.
I bought the car privately from a classic car dealer based in Bicester. I know that it is a very rare care and good enough to take to car shows as an exhibit. I fell in love with the Wolseley marque as I owned such a car many years ago as a first car. I have now had many years of fun driving this old car but now feel I would like a more modern Wolseley or similar.
