1972 Porsche 911 S Targa Classic

For sale is my 1972 Porsche 911 S Targa, presented in silver metalic code 936 with black leatherette interior and has covered 54, 000 miles.

This model-year 911 features the ‘Ölklappe’, or external oil filler flap for the dry-sump oil tank, and only 989 examples, for 1 year only, are believed to have been produced with this feature.

The car was originally imported from Italy and has been in the same family ownership for the last 28 years. At some stage before this the engine has been swapped out with a T engine including a hardened block and top end rebuild.

As can be seen in the photos, the bodywork is in good condition but would benefit from some TLC. Structurally she is excellent and solid due in part by being stored in a dry garage when not in use.

She comes with a very comprehensive service history backed up by lots of receipts dating back to 1996. Annual servicing has been carried out by reputable Porsche specialists including Francis Tuthill, Autostrasse and Jaz Porsche.

She starts cold or hot with no issues and drives nicely and is sure footed with smooth gear changes.

A Certificate of Authenticity issued by Porsche UK also comes with the documentation, showing the original spec when leaving the factory.
