1981 Delorean DMC-12
This Delorean was built at the DMC factory in August 1981 and exported to the US in September then sold in Chicago October that year with registration (JET VET), it spent 22 years in Chicago with its first owner then was sold to a gentleman in Ohio up until 2014 when it was brought back to the UK, I have owned the car for 8 years.
The car has had many hours spent upgrading and restoring. A significant amount of money has been spent over the years with loads of new upgraded parts, it comes with folders full of invoices.
As you can see from the pictures the car is in excellent condition, interior looks amazing as does the exterior bodywork.
The car comes with a comprehensive and well documented history folder full of paperwork including the original sales invoices from the dealership and original A4 sales window sticker from the DMC factory, paperwork from the first owner sent to Delorean DMC thanking him for delivery of his new car, breakdown and recovery paperwork from DMC dated 1981, sales receipts, all previous MOTs, a goodyear tyre brochure from 1981, service invoices and pictures of the car when it was new in October 1981.
The car is now MOT and Tax exempt however I still have a MOT on the car.
There are many photos included taken throughout the years of ownership and the car is well known in the Delorean community.
Most recent service was carried out in September 2023 at 35045 miles which included oil and filter, brake fluid replacement, clutch fluid, air filter, coolant fluid.
The Delorean has a good MOT history with no fails for many years.
The car rides on the correct original staggered set of 14-inch front and 15-inch rear alloy wheels which have been refurbished (powder coated sliver), the tyres are in good condition with loads of tread,
Also fitted are upgraded Spax coilover springs and shock adjustable absorbers.
The odometer now shows just over 35115 original miles.

INTERIOR
Inside looks amazing, the seat covers are new OEM, with no holes, tears, or rips. Rear cargo net behind the seats in place, DMC floor mats. All LED dash lights, switches work correctly and line up. Seats belts are good and work fine, headlining is very good, new electric windows motors fitted and work smoothly.
The stereo has upgraded Kenwood speakers front and rear.
The cabin is trimmed in grey leather with no cracks or splits in the binnacle or dashboard, all dash trim is in excellent condition.

ENGINE - Starts and runs well, it has a stainless de-cat pipe fitted, as you can see from the pictures the engine bay is clean and well presented.
DOORS - gull-wing doors open with no bounce and close as they should, roof box has been repaired.
BODYWORK – The body was always kept in good condition, the number plate is not included in the sale. in 2016 the whole car was re-grained by Chris Nicholson and the body is now spotless.
