Reluctant sale of my black 1989 GT "OGZI".
The car has been subject to a full glass-out respray to an exceptionally high standard resulting in what is probably one of, if not the best mirror shines of any 928 - significantly better than the factory finish. The car also has the popular electrically adjustable aero mirrors from the later GTS cars.
The interior has rare factory sports seats with the extended side bolsters and is in good condition throughout, with normal wear for the age. The dash is in good condition, with no splits. The carpets are genuine Porsche items in black and all carpets have been removed and thoroughly cleaned during the reconditioning process.
The car currently sits on a set of ultra rare period correct hollow spoke Antera alloys which are 10” wide at the rear, but I also have a set of gloss black Boxster S alloys available which have the correct offset for the 928. Good quality Toyo Proxy tyres have been fitted recently and have less than 1k miles on them.
Also fitted are a stainless X-pipe and RMB exhaust creating a nice deep burble on tick-over and a V8 howl on full throttle.
Upgraded modern touchscreen head unit fitted that supports bluetooth handsfree and both apple car play and android auto connectivity, along with a high quality speaker upgrade. The unit is fitted with a rear view camera which automatically switches when reverse is selected.
The car features remote central locking with factory alarm and immobiliser and a complete toolkit.
One of just a handful of right-hand-drive manuals in the UK with the sunroof delete option and factory sports seats, which makes it a rare beast. This is a genuine factory GT and drives great with no rattles or squeaks. This car has been sympathetically reconditioned with a huge number of parts replaced to create a dependable daily driver which starts on the button every time.
Large folder of receipts for work carried out over the last 25 years totalling over £30k, with £10k+ spent since I've owned it.
Recently serviced with a new water pump, cam belt and tensioners less than 1k miles ago, along with a full suspension replacement with factory-correct Bilstein adjustable dampers and a full alignment by 928 Specialists Ltd in Stroud. An alloy radiator was fitted along with new pipes so absolutely no overheating concerns. New distributor caps, rotor arms and plugs and a refurbished/ recalibrated MAF. Also, a full fuel system rebuild including refurbished injectors, new fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator, fuel dampers, filter etc.
Gearbox oil and brake fluid replaced less than 1k miles ago. Also, just been serviced by Paul Anderson of 928 Specialists in Stroud, who also serviced the aircon which is now fully working again.
Previously owned by the legendary Paul Anderson of 928 Specialists Ltd in Stroud UK, and was his daily driver for a number of years.
Try finding a genuine GT with an MOT for anywhere near the asking price! Quick sale needed as have another project on the go and need the garage space.
