ROYAL WEDDING LIMITED EDITION, ELECTRIC START. I am the fourth owner of this interesting and rare bike having owned it for seven years. Registered as a historic vehicle so tax and test exempt. I bought it from a dealer in the North of Scotland. It was part of his private collection that he was selling off due to pending retirement. Restored by a previous enthusiast owner (I have his contact details) a number of years ago this bike is very nice and presents well with all chrome and paint in good order. The electric start system works fine. there are a couple of oil leaks as would be expected and the bike could do with could do with a tune up to get best performance out of it. The speedo is not original this having gone astray during the aforementioned restoration I was informed, the gentleman informed me that the bike had done around 12k miles. All of the Royal Wedding badges, decals and tank bung badge unique to this model are present, they often get stolen by souvenir hunters i am told. original owners handbook and service book are present. There is a blank Personal Certificate of Ownership present the original in the first owners name no doubt having beed retained by his surviving family. He passed away many years ago.

I bought this bike as I intended spending my retirement presenting it at shows and rallies etc but since covid I find I am less interested in the classic show scene and it is time to move the RW on. It is a matching numbers bike and is no. 046 in a build run of 125 in this the US style. Not to be confused with the Silver Jubilee of which Triumph ultimately built many more than the promised limited run, these Royal Wedding bikes were stricltly limited to 125 US style, 125 UK style (so250 max) and the following year a further 50 badged simply as "Royal" for the US market. The original build plate is present however this having been cosmetically damaged when the frame was prepared for powder coating there is a replica mounted on the headstock. This is a very rare machine that always generates a great deal of interest at shows, bike nights etc.
