Toyota Landcruiser HJ61 1987
Has 12HT engine and H55f transmission which make for a very useable, reliable truck
Mechanically healthy albeit a little tatty visually, recent works completed include;
Rust repaired over the rear wheels and just behind on both sides.
Front axle rebuilt, all seals and bearings replaced with terrain tamer heavy duty rebuild kit
Full service including diffs drained and refilled + new gasket in rear
New clutch and new rear main seal
Tyres only have a few thousand miles on them with spare yet to see the road
Recent alignment
Voltage regulator replaced
MOT done around Christmas time
Body and chassis in good condition, some rust on doors/ boot/ wings as seen in pictures.
Bad points and things that are missing/ not working are;
The drivers window relay failed so the windows stuck just a jar open
Took the radio and speakers out to replace them and just got used to not having one/ bringing portable speaker with me on longer drives
Front seats have been replaced so ideally would have matching seats to door cards/ rears. I've always had the beads over the seat so hasn't bothered me
Steering wheel is "well worn", again something that hasn't bothered me but easily fixed
This has been my only vehicle for the past 3/ 4 years and haven't hesitated to drive it anywhere, including a road trip around France and back when I first imported it and multiple in England. Has been very reliable.
Depending what the new owner plans to do with it, it would make a great base for restoration as its a solid vehicle or is ready to be used as it is.
No service history with the truck but has been in the family for a while and has been looked after.
Happy to have a chat about the truck if you're interested, selling as I think id like to go back to having a slightly more 'normal' car and maybe something more suited to living in London where I seem to be using it less and less.
Do feel free to make an offer, worst I can say is no
