This is a car that has always been kept up to scratch (not a £4k banger needing another £4k spent on her) generally wanting for nothing. Galvanized full body, no rust and unmarked wheels returning over 30mpg (if driven carefully) rather less if driven enthusiastically, not bad for a 3200cc 6 cylinder car.
These cars will appreciate soon to reach clear heights (presently my 1977 MGB is worth more than this Porsche Boxster S)

The car was bought by me at 39 000 miles and kept mostly garaged. However, recently insurances have increased at rocket speeds. Not so this Porsche as it is now 23 years old and Lancaster Ins. will class it as a "Cherished" car, hence my insurance is just £200 (was £500)
Further, as a 986 it is free from too much electronic computerization, and does not cost the earth to keep in good condition. BUT - still (nearly) as quick as most. 0 - 60 in 5. 7secs.
