The mechanically identical Infiniti G35 was sold in North American, Asian and selected European markets. The 350GT scores over the 350Z with 4 full size seats, decent rear space and headroom for 6 footers, plus a large, useable boot, with refinements such as powered front seats, windows, mirrors and air conditioning. Imported from Japan in 2008 by well known JDM specialist Goodmayes. It’s a useable, civilised performance classic which drives, handles and stops as it should, and that V6 just sings-without being too loud! Gleaming silver bodywork with excellent black leather and grey alcantara trim. My car also benefits from a Limited Slip Differential, Brembo disk brakes all round and a Momo leather steering wheel. Further upgrades include Exedy clutch, enhanced breathing via an intake plenum spacer allied with an enlarged air intake. I’ve used her primarily as a summer weekend cruiser, with occasional motorway trips. I‘ve had the car Waxoyled and stored under cover over winter. Over £3000 spent recently including brand new TEIN coilover suspension, custom stainless steel exhaust and silencer, New Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 235/ 35/ ZR19 tyres on spacer equipped Dare Hiro 5 spoke alloys Pioneer Double DIN head unit featuring 6. 2” DAB+, DVD, CD, smartphone & amplifier and reversing camera. When I bought the car in 2015, I was drawn to the more graceful, curvacious styling of the 350GT, combined with extra space over the less practical, more angular lines of its dedicated sports car Nissan 350Z stablemate. Manual transmission 350GT models are increasingly hard to find, with most 350GTs on offer being the less desirable automatic. I‘ve had the car Waxoyled and stored under cover over winter. A professional 5-year ceramic coating was applied in 2022.
